Cambridge Technical Communicators was founded in 2006. The company is run by Warren Singer and Gerry Cavander, who each have over 20 years' experience running commercial technical communications projects, from startups to global organisations such as General Electric, The Economist Group and The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Warren was born and educated in South Africa, where he completed a BA in English Literature and Psychology and an Honours degree in Psychology. He obtained a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Tel Aviv. He is currently completing a degree in Engineering.
He has been involved in technical writing and marketing communications roles over the past twenty years, for companies such as 3COM, WorldPay, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), First Data International (FDI), MoneyBookers (Skrill) and General Electric (GE Energy).
Warren is a creative and conscientious writer. He has a special interest in marketing communications and information architecture. His hobbies include tennis, swimming and creative writing.
Working in and running B2B marketing teams for major corporations like RBS and DHL as well as start-ups like WorldPay, Third Light and Ixaris, Gerry's forte is delivering high-quality but low-cost marketing to 'premier-league' standard while also searching for and often finding, breakthroughs to unusually high rates of growth. Using incisive data analysis and ROI-driven performance, he is at home with marketing strategy and activities themselves and with team management, structure and processes.
Gerry has a degree in English Literature and enjoys jogging with his Cocker Spaniel, Danny Boy. But marketing communications that produce proveable and impressive ROI are his major interest.
